Digging the basement June 2009

Well with the stick picking and rock picking all done it's time to dig the Basement, Yahoo!!


Here's a picture of the view where our house will be. We - ha ha Daniel actually, smoothed it out so we could mark the dimentions of our basement.

Here's a picture of our pond, we're going to expand it. over in the grassy area there are more ravines that snow melt off flows down, and that area is very swampy so we are going to make it look like a Lake. Daniel will build a bigger dam, I'll take a picture of that later :o).

I am a Very Lucky Girl. I have the Most Wonderful Husband! He works hard so that I can stay home with the kids. And he is a Fantastic Daddy! I Love Him So Much!! I couldn't have asked for a better man!

For Daniel's 32nd Birthday this year we went Camping - Yes Camping in May, and oh boy it was so cold. We all slept warm enough though. In the morning we went fishing, that was the miserable part. The Lake - I can't remember the name of. But it still had some Ice, Most of it was slushy but there was ice. Yeah, we didn't catch anything!!

Ruger is such a funny little guy! He's a very hard worker and he know's how to make things fun. We are all so glad to have him around!!

Mykenzie's Photography Practice

I have to admit I'm really excited that Mykenzie LOVES to take pictures. It was so cute when she got her brothers and sister to Pose in the tree. I could see the photographer in her. What do you think??

Stick and Rock picking continued...

Hyrum was a good helper, he even got to drive sometimes. What a Big boy!

Some of the rocks we found were really big, this isn't the biggest, there were lots!!

We had to use a loader to get some of them out!!

Aspen most often just played in the trailer.

She did get out when there was lots to pick up and she helped pretty good for a 1 1/2 year old.

April 29 2009 - Let the work Begin!

As many of you know by now, we bought a quarter section, in January. And now that the snow is gone - well going away, it is time to pick sticks - and rocks!!! So that we can it can be planted!! This is one of our first days, and Yes, Ruger is driving that 4 wheeler. he's 5!

After a day of hard work we had unloaded all the sticks and just left the rocks in the 4-wheeler trailer and Daniel decides to go down a Very steep (and bumpy) hill. Well he ended up totally flipping the thing into the pond and scared the heck out of me. I saw the whole thing and was sure that the 4-wheeler landed on top of him and he was pinned under it in the pond. But luckily after landing in the water he was thinking clearly enough to roll out of the way. My poor kids were bawling their eyes out. He better not do that again☺

Decorating Eggs

Oh what fun you can have with some eggs, colored water and 4 kids! I love doing things like this with my kids! It makes Holidays so much more special, for them and me!! We had alot of Fun!!

Easter

Yes Easter, it was 6 months ago, but that's where I left off. Rediculous, I know.

Well the week before Easter was the first week of Spring Break, and we had so much FUN! We went to Edmonton with Weston and Melissa and their 4 kids, we spent 2 nights and 1 FULL day. I wish that my camera batteries had been charged, but they weren't. There was an amusment park thing in the West Edmonton Mall, and that's where we spent most of our day. We also picked up these cute sunday clothes for the kids, I've always wanted to get them matching stuff and it was so fun to finally be able to!!

So Back to Easter, This is Easter Morning.

Aspen thought it was just Awsome to find all the hidden eggs, our Easter Bunny did a really good Job hiding them.

March 28, 2009 - Mykenzie's Baptism

I am so proud of Mykenzie, she is one of those kids who not only knows what is right, but makes a great effort to Choose the Right everyday. I have called her my special angel alot of times because of the things she will do for me, just to make me happy. She is always concerned about the happiness of others, and goes the extra mile everyday. I Love her so much, and I am glad that she has decided to be Baptized. But my goodness, I can't believe that she's already 8!! Where did the time go? She was so Beautiful!

Today was a very special day for her, And it was made even more special because Grandma, Grandpa, Lyden and Chelse could be part of it too.

I am also going to take a minute to say how much I Love Daniel. I am so very fortunate to have such a good man who loves his kids and me too. I am thankful for him and all he does for us everyday!! He is the Best!

March 2009 Sledding party at our new property

Well, this was a fun day, Grandma & Grandpa Christensen and Lyden & Chelse were here for Mykenzie's Baptism and we got to take them sledding at our new property. I think they all had fun! there are some awsome hills there!!

Jaram and Rubie and their kids came too it was a cold day, just right for a wiener roast, with marshmallows and hot chocolate - and of course Rubie's Delicious potato salad!

Hyrum was so nice, making sure that Grandma and Mommy got pleanty of marshmallows, cooked to perfection.

It was pretty cold, and it was hard for poor Aspen to walk around in that deep snow with her snowsuit on. She was a very good sport though! By the way, in case you didn't know, she's a Daddy's Girl, all the way.

The Grand Tour

We bundled everyone up and took them on a tour of the property that we bought this January.
